Owners Ricky and Shelby took over Raw Juice Bar late April of 2021, at 20 years old. Before taking over the juice bar, Ricky was working at a fast food restaurant exploring his career options. Shelby had been working at Raw Juice Bar for two years as a part time barista, while she went to college. Shelby had loved working at the juice bar and it helped her learn and be more enthusiastic about eating organic and living a healthier lifestyle. She learned so much from Raw Juice Bars previous owner, Zina, and had grown to deeply care about her, the customers, and the business to where it felt like home.

 

Eventually the juice bar was up for sale and one Sunday afternoon Ricky said to Shelby, “why don’t we just buy the juice bar?” and that’s when life got crazy! They called Zina that day and told her they were ready to take on the challenge! Zina helped every step of the way while Ricky and Shelby worked hard every day to get everything they needed to apply and get the show on the road. Soon they were approved, signed the final papers, and set a Grand Reopening Day! May 1st, 2021 Ricky and Shelby reopened as the new owners of Raw Juice Bar, and life forever changed for them. From going to college, working at a fast food restaurant and both being unsure of what the future held, Ricky and Shelby are now business owners planning to make the most out of their juice bar! They found a true passion in life that wasn’t clear until they were presented with this opportunity, and they’ve learned so much along the way on how to run a business. Since they became owners, They have expanded their menu and made improvements to the juice bar in hopes to make it “the spot” for the community to want to hang out at and feel comfortable with all good vibes.

 

Some improvements include, the "Raw Juice Bar" neon sign for customers to take pictures in front of, custom shelves made by a family friend that hold iconic plants from a small local plant shop, a custom bar made by a local small business, for customers to relax at and enjoy their treats, new menu boards created by their artist friends, a beautiful ocean sunset wall painted with the help of friends, and custom merchandise made by a local small business! They love supporting small and local businesses and will continue to do so! Raw Juice Bar is home to Ricky and Shelby and the most important things to them are their employees, customers, supporters, family, and everyone else who has helped them along the way. They have big plans and are ready to spread good health across many communities!
